The Ten False Doctrines of the Catholic Church in Light of the Word of God
The Catholic Church, while a significant institution in history, holds several doctrines that diverge from the teachings of the Word of GOD. This essay examines ten Catholic doctrines that conflict with biblical principles, relying solely on the Christian Bible for authority. Papal Infallibility : The Catholic Church claims the pope is infallible in matters of faith and morals... ex cathedra —that is, in his official capacity as the supreme pontiff — defining a doctrine concerning faith or morals to be held by the universal Church. However, the Bible asserts that all have sinned (Romans 3:23). Only God is infallible, and no man, including the pope, is exempt from error. Purgatory : Catholicism teaches a place of purification after death called purgatory.
